The Barrel Kart project was commissioned as a branding and promotional artifact for Nine Irish Brothers, an authentic Irish pub seeking a highly visible, experiential marketing centerpiece that could travel to events and generate attention well beyond the physical pub. Supported by Jameson Distillery (authentic whiskey barrel) and Guinness Brewery, the brief called for repurposing culturally resonant pub artifacts into a functional electric vehicle. The broader contextual lens extended beyond branding into the maker movement and YouTube creator culture, intentionally targeting the type of spectacle-driven, process-forward build that contemporary designer–creators document and share publicly.

The design draws on childhood toy archetypes and whimsical proportions, evoking nostalgia while maintaining unmistakable brand authenticity. Functional details reinforce the story: tap handles serve as the control interfaces for the electric drivetrain, collapsing the boundary between pub ritual and mechanical control.
